Job summary

Shriners Children's Texas in Galveston is seeking a full-time Pediatric Intensivist to join our 15-bed PICU, focusing on high-acuity burn cases and complex pediatric conditions. The role includes in-house day coverage during a 7-on/7-off schedule, with night coverage by in-house team.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ABMS board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited residency in Pediatrics.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Eligibility for Texas medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Perform and supervise critical care procedures.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows during rounds and didactics.
• Collaborate with APPs and UTMB teams; participate in clinical research.
