Job description

PEDIATRIC BODY RADIOLOGIST – FACULTY POSITION

The Department of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard Medical School (HMS), in Boston, MA, is seeking to fill two full‑time faculty positions in the Division of Pediatric Radiology. The role involves clinical, teaching, and research activities, including training of radiology residents at MGH and other affiliated hospitals within the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Health system.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pediatric body imaging including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and x‑ray.
  • Read and review studies for medical decision‑making.
  • Teach and mentor radiology residents and fellows.
  • Engage in scholarly research and graduate‑level teaching.
  • Provide coverage at MGH and rotate through Newton‑Wellesley Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Salem Hospital, and other community sites.
  • Maintain clinical competence and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree (M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.) or equivalent.
  • Massachusetts Board of Certification in Medicine and medical license.
  • New Hampshire medical license (obtainable upon appointment).
  • Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology.
  • Completed Pediatric Radiology fellowship.
  • Academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at HMS.
  • Experience in pediatric body imaging and academic medicine.
  • Ability to work across a multi‑specialty hospital network.
Work Setting

PDO faculty members primarily work at MGH but may also cover additional hospitals in the MGB network. Remote options are available.

MGH Pediatric Radiology is a growing group of nine pediatric body radiologists who performed over 100,000 studies this past year and collaborate closely with five pediatric neuroradiologists. The department is part of MGH for Children (MGHfC), a network of more than 300 physicians, 50 medical specialties, 15 surgical services, and caring primary and preventive care disciplines.
