Job summary
The Nemours Foundation's Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL seeks a BMT/HCT Medical Director to build and lead a new pediatric transplant program. The role combines clinical care oversight with program development, quality systems, and research initiatives within a multidisciplinary cancer and blood disorders team.
The successful physician will oversee transplant/cellular therapy services, establish clinical pathways, educational activities, and community outreach, and mentor trainees in
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board certified or board eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
- Valid state medical license & DEA.
- Pediatric HCT/cellular therapy experience and leadership in program development preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Transplant/Cellular Therapy Program Director with growth and program maturity strategy.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient/outpatient care for transplant/cellular therapy patients.
- Develop clinical pathways, policies, and quality management aligned with HCT standards (FACT-JACIE).
- Mentor residents, medical students, and APPs; participate in research and community outreach.
