Blackbird Health is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. You will manage insurance accounts receivable, resolve denied claims, process payments and refunds, verify eligibility, and support patients and families with billing questions.

You will collaborate with clinicians and internal teams to ensure a smooth, transparent billing experience while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

Formación

• 2-4 years of healthcare billing experience with insurance and EHR/PM systems.
• 1-3 years of experience in a customer service setting.
• In-depth knowledge of medical billing procedures, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance terminology.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Resolve insurance claim denials and work with providers to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Investigate denials via portals and submit clean claims or appeals as needed.
• Contact patients/families to update insurance or payment details and set up plans.
• Process payments, refunds, and ensure accurate patient responsibility on invoices.
• Collaborate with clinicians and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
