Job summary

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast TX is seeking a Behavioral Health - Psych Tech for the Children’s Unit (7A) in Beaumont, TX. The role supports patient care under nursing supervision and contributes to a safe, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKGs, FSBS and POC testing after certification, with strong communication to the care team and families as part of comprehensive behavioral health services.

Qualifications

• Provides basic patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with orders and care standards.
• Communicates observations effectively to assist in care planning.
• Works within scope defined by unit policies and patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provides designated patient care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Performs phlebotomy, 12 lead EKGs, FSBS testing and POC testing after required certification.
• Communicates observations to licensed nurses to assist in care planning and patient safety.
