Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide direct patient care for children and adolescents within diverse units, under licensed professionals. You will help implement treatment plans, maintain a safe environment, and support onboarding for new staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required or 4 years of direct professional experience in a related field.
• Area of Study includes Psychology, Social Services, Human Services, Education, Biology, Neuroscience, or related field.
• De-escalation training required within 90 days of hire and BLS/CPR with at least 6 months left before expiration.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and management of children/adolescents under licensed professional direction.
• Assist new hires and supervise competencies during onboarding as needed.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport and a non-punitive approach with patients.
• Lead and participate in educational/therapeutic milieu groups as assigned.
• Implement individual treatment plans and monitor progress.
