Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Full-Time Pediatric LPN to join the Nursing Department on the Day Shift. You will deliver safe, therapeutic, and age-appropriate care to pediatric patients in a behavioral health setting under RN supervision, helping maintain a healing environment.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure
• New Grads are welcome to apply
• A Level One Fingerprint Card is required
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card
• Minimum 6 months of psychiatric experience preferred
• CPI Certification required within 30 days of hire
• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development and age‑appropriate patient care
• Experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Observe, record, and report changes in patients’ physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions
• Provide safe and age‑appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients under the supervision of an RN
• Monitor safety within the therapeutic environment and assist with crisis intervention and de‑escalation as needed
• Assist with admissions, patient data collection, and orientation to the unit and program
• Document patient interactions, observations, and responses to therapeutic interventions
• Communicate appropriately with patients, parents, guardians, and caregivers regarding care
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary treatment team to implement individualized care plans
• Help maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for pediatric patients
