Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician – West Warwick
General Responsibilities:
Provide trauma informed, culturally responsive, behavioral health services to child and adolescent patients in a patient centered medical home. Provide behavioral health services to adults as needed. As a member of an integrated care team, be available for warm hand offs from medical providers, work in conjunction with psychiatric prescribers, and conduct brief screening to evaluate the needs of children and families for behavioral health services.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree and licensed as one of the following: LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMHC-A, LMFT. (Comparable licenses from other states with ability to obtain appropriate licensure from RI will be considered.)
Two years clinical experience.
Experience with diverse populations. Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish and English strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
Physical Effort/Environment:
Moderate physical activity is required: sitting, standing, walking, and lifting. Travel to off-site meetings and other program sites as needed is required.
Work Schedule Demands:
The work schedule is 40 hours per week, mornings, afternoons, and evenings as required. Due to the needs of the population being served this role may require a larger distribution of hours in the afternoon and evening, but will offer some flexibility.
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, required. The ability to effectively work and communicate with a multi-disciplinary team, other service providers, and patients is critical to the success of this position.
Confidentiality of Information:
The incumbent has access to client’s medical records, financial information, and documentation regarding prior services from outside agencies. The maintenance of client information confidentially is required.
