Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking a full-time behavioral support professional to collaborate with therapists and educators. You will train students and families, maintain a clean clinical environment, and provide direct therapy under BCBA supervision to help children develop cognitive, language, self-help, social, and motor skills.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 1+ years related experience, and preferred RBT/CPR credentials.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
• Entry level competency of behavior analytic practice with young children [Preferred]

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with therapists, leadership team, and social worker on individual child and family needs and accessing community resources.
• Trains and educates students, interns, volunteers, and patient’s family members.
• Maintains organization in the classroom and other areas; keeps environment clean and hygienic.
• Builds professional relationships with co-workers and communicates honestly.
• Provides direct therapy under supervision of the BCBA to develop cognitive, language, self-help, social, and motor skills.
• Adheres to HIPAA guidelines and ensures appropriate use of social media; handles duties as assigned.

Job Description:

$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Collaborates with physical, occupational, speech-language, and music therapists, as well as early childhood special educators and BCBA. Works with leadership team and social worker on individual child and family needs and accessing community resources. Trains and educates students, interns, volunteers, and patient’s family members. Supports staff by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. Organizes data and individual children’s programs daily. Maintains organization in the classroom and other areas. Builds professional relationships with co-workers by being considerate of workloads and assisting with duties. Communicates honestly and addresses issues and problems privately. Respects each discipline’s expertise and knowledge without questioning it in front of the patient/family. Provides direct therapy under the supervision of the BCBA to assist children in developing cognitive, language, self-help, social, and motor skills. Punctual with returning phone calls and emails, and for scheduled work hours, meetings, and patient treatment. Utilizes computer access confidentially and appropriately, following HIPAA guidelines, including appropriate use of social media. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
