Job summary

MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy in Saline, Michigan is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 play-based ABA therapy to children on the autism spectrum. You will use structured interventions and positive reinforcement to help kids develop communication, social skills, and daily living abilities.

This clinic-based role offers part-time hours (12pm-4:30pm, Monday through Friday) with potential for full-time. No nights or weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Experience with ASD or developmental disorders preferred but not required.
  • RBT certification is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and occupational health screening.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 play-based ABA therapy to help children develop essential skills.
  • Use evidence-based ABA techniques to support communication, social interaction and daily living skills.
  • Track progress by collecting behavioral data and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with families to ensure consistency across home, school and community settings.
  • Implement treatment plans designed by BCBA with precision and care.
  • Maintain clear communication by reporting progress to the supervising BCBA.

As a Behavior Technician, you will provide 1:1 play-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to help children develop essential skills in communication, social interaction, and daily living. Through positive reinforcement and structured interventions, you’ll empower our “kiddos” to build independence and improve their quality of life.
What You'll Do:
  • Support Children Through Personalized Play Therapy – Use evidence-based ABA techniques to help children learn essential life skills.
  • Promote Positive Behavioral Growth – Implement interventions to reduce challenging behaviors and create a structured, supportive learning environment.
  • Track and Drive Progress – Collect behavioral data to measure success and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with Families – Work closely with parents to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across home, school, and community settings.
  • Bring Treatment Plans to Life – Implement BCBA-designed treatment plans with precision and care.
  • Maintain Clear Communication – Regularly report progress to the supervising BCBA and collaborate on strategies for optimal outcomes.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:
  • Active & Engaged Work – Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and bending.
  • Hands-On Support – Lifting up to 50-75 lbs may be required.
  • Quick Reflexes – Ability to respond to behaviors such as elopement (running away) or aggressive actions.
  • Loud or Noisy Environments – Working with active children in dynamic settings.
  • Potential Exposure to Bodily Fluids – Assisting with hygiene or accidental incidents.
Clinic Location:

Work Schedule:
  • Part-time: 12pm-4:30pm Monday-Friday with potential for full-time in the future!
  • No nights or weekends!
  • Candidates must have Monday-Friday 8am-5pm availability!
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly Pay: $17.15 - $20.80 per hour (based on experience, certification and education)
