Job summary

UNC ENT Goldsboro is seeking an Audiologist II to provide diagnostic and rehabilitative services, manage a hearing aid caseload, and participate in ongoing education. The role includes ABR testing for infants and children, cochlear implant evaluation, and collaboration with the NC Deaf and Hard of Hearing program.

The position offers a part-time schedule (20 hours/week) onsite in Goldsboro, with access to updated audiology equipment and support from a dedicated Medical Office Assistant for admin

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Audiology.
• Current license in Audiology issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Five years of experience as an audiologist.
• Experience with cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing aids is valued.

Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation- Performs comprehensive evaluation of patients; administers audiological tests and prepares reports.
• Patient Counseling- Counsels patients and families on hearing impairment and management options.
• Audiology Consultant- Serves as consultant to educational and medical teams to optimize patient care.
• Education and Research- Updates knowledge and participates in clinical research/education.
