Job summary

UNC Ear Nose Throat at Goldsboro is seeking a licensed Audiologist to provide evidence-based evaluation, treatment and education for patients with hearing impairment. The role includes student shadowing, clinical instruction, and participation in ongoing education and outreach.

Responsibilities include comprehensive testing, aging/infant screenings and amplification services as applicable, with a focus on continuity of care and multidisciplinary collaboration across UNC Health systems.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Audiology program.
• Licensed as an Audiologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• BLS within 3 months of hire date.
• Audiologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides evidence-based audiology evaluations, treatments and education.
• Manages daily caseload across multiple clinical locations.
• Performs diagnostic tests to assess auditory and vestibular function and counsels patients and families.
• Provides newborn/pediatric screenings and amplification services where applicable.
• Precepts students and participates in department and community education.
