Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO seeks an Open Track Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology to provide pediatric anesthesia care 100% of the time, with teaching responsibilities and clinical service.

The role includes OR and radiology cases across subspecialties, opportunities for bedside teaching, and a strong emphasis on perioperative medicine, with board eligibility or pediatric anesthesiology certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Attending pediatric anesthesiologists must be licensed to practice in Colorado and board eligible or Diplomate of AB Anesthesiology; MOCA participation required for all board-certified faculty.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology is required or highly desirable.
• Experience teaching Anesthesiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients in OR and radiology.
• Teach medical students and fellows during bedside rounds.
• Participate in on-call coverage and in-house duties.
• No requirement to contribute to research missions.
