Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia, a leading anesthesia provider in northern New Jersey, is seeking an anesthesiologist to join a robust team at Overlook Medical Center in Summit. The role supports a diverse case mix with neurodiagnostic, neurological, and neurosurgical services within a Level IV Epilepsy Center.

The position offers a competitive compensation package including $580K salary plus a $25K pediatric stipend, along with a sign-on incentive up to $100K.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX certification.
• Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment.
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition.
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed.
