Job summary

Shriners Children’s Ohio seeks a board-certified or eligible Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join a dedicated all-physician anesthesia group focused on clinical excellence and research. The role involves caring for infants, children, and adolescents undergoing pediatric burns and plastic/reconstructive procedures, with emphasis on regional anesthesia techniques.

The schedule is Monday to Friday with rare evenings and weekends; call is taken from home with a minimal call-back rate.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible pediatric anesthesiologist.
• Experience with pediatric burns and plastic/reconstructive surgery.
• Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques.

Responsibilities

• Check anesthesia equipment according to current guidelines.
• Formulate anesthetic plan based on birth history, physical examination, and labs.
• Inserts endotracheal tubes and IV catheters.
• Sets up intravenous and intra-arterial fluid systems.
• Utilizes current monitoring techniques.
• Ensures intraoperative and PACU patient management is appropriate.
