Job Summary:

The Department of Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist / Clinical Assistant Professor (HS). The successful candidate will:

• Provide anesthesia care to pediatric and adult patients
• Participate in clinical operating room supervision, classroom teaching, and evaluations for residents and medical students as required by the department.
• Mentors students/residents in research and scholarly activities.
• Participate in administrative duties and on call assignments as required by the department clinical service.
• Provide in-patient care of neonates at University Hospital Brooklyn (UHB) in operating room and out-of-operating room locations, plus ambulatory patients at UHB and Bay Ridge location.
• Provide call coverage as required.

Required Qualifications:

• New York State Medical License.
• Successful completion of training in an ACGME/accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible anesthesiologist.
• Pediatric Fellowship-trained or equivalent and Pediatric Board Certified.
