The Pediatric Anesthesiologist provides services to patients undergoing surgery or diagnostic studies requiring sedation or anesthesia. Consults with surgeons and subspecialists, prepares and evaluates pre-anesthetic assessments, monitors intraoperative anesthesia, and manages post-anesthetic care. Responsible for life support, respiratory care, and physiologic support throughout the hospital when required. Provides pain management services for perioperative patients and consultations for pain management. Offers technical oversight and assistance to the sedation team.
Education: Doctoral Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy.
Licenses and Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from the American Heart Association; Medical Physician license in Louisiana; Controlled Dangerous Substances license.
