Job summary

Requirements include a Master’s or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia, active Florida APRN licensure, NBCRNA certification, and ongoing BLS/PALS/ACLS. Credentialing with NCPS-ANESTHESIOLOGY is required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia required.
• APR license active in Florida at time of employment.
• NBCRNA certification required.
• BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications maintained.
• Credentialing by NCH medical administration required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs physical examination.
• Verifies patient identity, procedure, site, and informed consent from guardian.
• Assesses pain management needs prior to procedure.
• Plans pre-anesthetic medications and techniques with supervising anesthesiologist.
• Assists in anesthesia administration and monitoring during procedures.
• Provides post-anesthesia care and follow-up with care team.
