Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, is seeking an Outreach RN to provide nursing services for walk-in testing, coordinate community testing and education events, and back up clinic nursing coverage. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, serving to improve access to care through patient education and community engagement.

Required: RN licensed in Ohio with BLS; ACEN/CCNE education, BSN preferred and completion within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance.
• Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow and positive patient outcomes.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Engages in the workplace community by participating in data collection or auditing and reporting updates to staff.
