Job summary

Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory role supports pediatric care in ambulatory settings, performing poc tests, vaccines, rooming patients, drawing blood, and communicating lab results under supervision. The schedule offers 4-10 hour shifts or 5-hour shifts across the week, with Saturdays on rotation.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, ongoing education, and reinforcing care plans while coordinating with providers and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in Virginia prior to onboarding.
• AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric provider with poc tests, vaccines, rooming patients, drawing blood, calling lab results.
• Manage in-basket and e-faxes; coordinate tests and care plans.
• Provide direct patient care and education; reinforce care plans under supervision of physician/RN designee.
