Job Summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist to join our growing team. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.

Position Details
  • Full or part‑time, 50%-100%
  • Work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
  • This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
  • Applicants will be considered for titles: Assistant Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), Professor (CHS), Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Opportunities to participate and lead clinical research in allergy/immunology related areas collaboratively with other SMPH faculty.
  • Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health, working collegially with other faculty.
  • Provide outpatient clinical care for pediatric patients with allergic diseases, asthma, positive newborn SCID screens, inborn errors of immunity, and inpatient consultations for patients admitted to the American Family Children’s Hospital.
  • Participate in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students, and support the teaching and clinical research in Pediatric Allergy‑Immunology missions of the division and department.

Required Qualifications
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics or equivalent by appointment start date.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Allergy‑Immunology through the American Board of Allergy‑Immunology by appointment start date.
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Allergy‑Immunology by appointment start date.
  • Completion of an ACGME‑approved pediatric residency program.
  • Wisconsin medical license by appointment start date.
  • Eligibility for enrollment as a billing provider and all necessary hospital privileges by appointment start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CHS or CT Track, candidates meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT Track.
Education

MD, DO, or equivalent required.
