Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for UMC Children's at 98th & Frankford. The APP will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with autonomy, collaborating with family and specialty physicians to evaluate, diagnose and manage conditions.

Qualifications include a TX PA/NP license, BSN/MSN, and an accredited PA or NP program; BLS required. Flexible hours include evenings and weekends; benefits and on-site support provided.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
• Must be in good standing with the State of Texas Medical Board or Texas Board of Nursing.
• BSN or MSN degree and successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program or accredited Nursing Practitioner program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs patient care including examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Prescribes medication and medical testing; reviews and interprets test results; documents histories and exams.
• Maintains accurate patient records in a timely manner and communicates with physicians.
• Collaborates with physicians to improve access, efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends.
