Job summary

Penn State Health – St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking an RN in Pediatrics Acute for inpatient care on days.

This 0.90 FTE role is a 7:00 am–7:00 pm shift (3 shifts per week) with every 3rd weekend, and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants. You will assess health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, administer medications, and maintain accurate records while supporting disease prevention and patient education.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or holds a multistate license.
• BLS current or within orientation period; ACLS, PALS and NRP required prior to end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care and medications; monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Maintain accurate records and educate patients on health maintenance and prevention.
