Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing for Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) is required.
• Master’s degree in physician assistant studies is required for PA track; BA/BS with terminal degree considered.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations.
• Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Prescribes appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Maintain records by writing orders and progress notes in patient charts.
• Day-to-day care of children with acute and chronic illness requiring critical care.
• Active role in education of trainees.
• Supervision of Fellows.
• Participate in on-call schedule for the PICU.
• Collaborates with CICU, PICU, neonatology, cardiology, and cardiac surgery.
