Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital seeks a Physician Assistant to join the Pediatric Abdominal Transplant team. The PA will support pediatric kidney and liver transplant programs, collaborating with hepatologists, nephrologists, surgeons, and a multidisciplinary team on inpatient and outpatient care.

The role includes rotating 10-hour weekdays and 5-hour weekend shifts, with 24/7/365 call coverage to the transplant program. Pediatric PA licensure in Arizona and transplant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pediatric PA licensure in Arizona is required.
• At least 1 year of PA experience in pediatrics or transplant is preferred.
• Inpatient clinical experience is required, preferably with transplant patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient coverage for pediatric liver and kidney transplant programs seven days a week in rotation.
• Provide outpatient coverage for the liver transplant program when not on inpatient rotation.
• Manage pre/post transplant care, immunosuppressant management, and discharge planning.
