Job summary

KidsPeace seeks a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support children with autism and other developmental needs. The role involves one‑on‑one ABA sessions, data collection, and collaboration with BCBAs across homes and schools.

Expect flexibility to travel between service locations and participate in community settings. The position emphasizes safety, growth, and emotional well‑being, with opportunities for ongoing training, tuition assistance, and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must complete 40 hours of ABA training before seeing clients in person.
• Must possess basic computer knowledge and skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Comfortable traveling between client locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one ABA intervention to children with Autism per treatment plan.
• Structure sessions and prepare activities addressing individualized goals.
• Support and coach caregivers by modeling strategies and encouraging participation.
• Create a therapeutic environment using pairing and reinforcement.
• Collaborate with BCBA/BC and team to implement plans.
• Complete documentation clearly and on time.
• Collect behavioral data accurately per agency standards.
