Maxim Healthcare is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work 1 on 1 with a pediatric patient, 9-12 hours a day. Training available for new or inexperienced nurses.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license for the state of practice.
• Current Health Certificate as required by facility/ state regulations.
• PPD and/or Chest X-Ray current and valid.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for 1:1 pediatric clients.
• Initiates and revises the plan of care with prescriber input as patient needs change.
• Applies therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning as applicable.
