Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide pediatric private duty nursing under physician orders in Cincinnati, OH. You'll follow the Nurse Practice Act and agency policies while delivering high-quality care.

You will collaborate with the care team, document changes, and participate in care coordination. A valid RN/LPN license, CPR certification, and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• Clinical scope includes personal care, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and pediatric services (tracheostomy, ventilator management, tube feedings).
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs in compliance with Agency policies and standards.
• Participates in care coordination and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

Responsibilities
