Job description

Position Summary

Are you someone who enjoys being on the move and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same? If so, the Pedal Bike Senior Technician role at Walmart could be the perfect fit for you!

The primary responsibility of this role is to drive a fleet vehicle around the Bentonville campus to rebalance the petal bikes to designated bike gardens. This position requires unlocking bikes at 7am and locking them at 9pm. The bikes are equipped with GPS trackers to locate any that are taken off campus for retrieval. You will need to survey the bikes for damage or maintenance needs as they are picked up. The Move Hub team will handle all bike maintenance, and the Move Hub is located in the Sparky building.

Schedule:

6am – 2:30pm

1pm – 9:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a fleet vehicle around the Bentonville campus to rebalance petal bikes.
  • Unlock bikes at 7am and lock them at 9pm.
  • Use GPS trackers to locate and retrieve bikes taken off campus.
  • Survey bikes for damage or maintenance needs.
  • Assist with building event setups, including setting up and taking down chairs, tables, tents, and ice coolers.
  • Drive parking decks to check for cleanliness and safety concerns.
  • Report pest control issues while driving or walking on trails.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable using basic technology and digital tools
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Professional conduct and appearance, representing the company and campus operations department to the highest standards.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00-$40.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
1 year’s experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
