Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Peanut Research Technician for the Tifton Campus to assist with peanut breeding and agronomic research. Frequent travel to research farms across Georgia will support ongoing projects and data collection in field and laboratory settings.

Responsibilities include crop management, equipment maintenance, data recording, and collaboration with researchers and student workers to achieve program objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in an agricultural related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain research plots.
• Support routine crop management activities, including irrigation, fertilization, and weed control.
• Travel to off-site locations to support planting, maintenance and harvesting activities.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory and field equipment, collect data, and manage samples.
