Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 5+ years in related field.
• MS Office and case management databases proficiency.
• Understanding of the Tribal Court system and tribal laws.
• Knowledge of Anishinaabe culture and traditions.
• Ability to work independently under supervision.
• Must meet Peacemaker qualifications and ethics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Criminal background and central registry checks required; no disqualifying offenses.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and train Peacemakers
• Promote the Peacemaking program through articles, meetings, and events
• Conduct Peacemaking sessions or appoint Peacemakers with consent of Chief Judge
• Assist in developing Peacemaking contracts and monitor progress
• Monitor Peacemakers and juvenile delinquency matters as part of the Case Intake Team
• Prepare written monthly reports to the Court
• Follow Peacemaking guidelines and Tribal Court rules with Admin Orders
• Assist Tribal members in accessing program services
• Data entry, case files, emails, scheduling Peacemaking sessions
• Operate office equipment and coordinate with IT for maintenance
• Maintain integrity and confidentiality; comply with laws
• Occasional travel for off-site sessions and trainings
• All other duties as assigned
