Job summary

Blackstone is seeking an Associate for Private Equity Valuations & Analytics to support the Private Equity group’s valuations, monitoring, and reporting efforts. You will prepare valuation models, update quarterly templates, and coordinate with auditors and external valuation partners.

The role requires 3+ years in valuations or related analytical roles, a Finance/Economics/Accounting background, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar discipline; CFA/CPA a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in valuations, transaction services, a private equity fund, consulting, or similar analytical roles.
• Experience with recurring deliverables and projects in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of ASC 820 and valuation methodologies (Income, Market, Yield, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with deal professionals, asset management, and portfolio company leaders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail and work ethic.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare valuation models reviews and presentations for leaders.
• Update valuation templates quarterly (DCF, PM, and other models).
• Apply valuation methodologies per policy and external guidance.
• Onboard new portfolio investments and ensure data collection procedures.
• Coordinate with auditors and third party valuation firms.
• Drive enhancements to valuations and reporting processes and leverage technology.
• Create and develop presentation materials for internal committees and partners.
• Present valuation results to internal committees, auditors, and LPs.
• Collaborate with Private Equity Management Reporting for planning inputs.
• Maintain relationships with deal professionals and various internal teams.
