G2 Consulting Group is looking for full-time staff engineers with minimum 4 years of demonstrated geotechnical engineering experience for its Construction Engineering Department in Lake Zurich, IL. A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, or related field, and Project Engineer licensure in Illinois are required.

Staff engineers will perform and coordinate field inspections and investigations under the supervision of a project manager, represent G2 on construction sites, operate

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE licensure in Illinois.
• 4–8 years of demonstrated geotechnical engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong prioritization, coordination and matrix management abilities.
• Good administrative and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work outside and travel as needed.
• Occasional overtime and weekends required.

• Independently operate relevant field equipment.
• Manage multiple projects across budgets and deadlines.
• Assist with laboratory testing under supervision.

G2 Consulting Group is looking for full-time staff engineers with minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience for its Construction Engineering Department in Vernon Hills, IL. Project Engineers perform and coordinate field inspections and investigations under the supervision of a project manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, or related degree;
• Project Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Illinois
• 4 to 8 years of demonstrated experience in geotechnical engineering;
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills;
• Strong prioritization, coordination and matrix management skills, self-directed and self-motivated;
• Good administrative and time management skills with keen attention to detail;
• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance and have an excellent driving record;
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.;
• Ability to stand for long periods of time;
• Willingness to work outside.
• Ability to work occasional overtime, weekends, and travel requiring out of town, overnight stays.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Represent G2 in a professional manner on assigned construction sites.
• Independently operate relevant equipment.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects for multiple project managers within budgets and deadlines.
• Assist and perform laboratory testing work under the direction of a senior engineer/technician.
