REPORTS TO: Building Principal

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Hourly Non-Exempt

COMPENSATION: Based on Classified Pay Model

WORK CALENDAR: 183 Days

STANDARD HOURS: 7 Hours/Day

PERF: CPCSC is a Non-PERF District

Position Overview

Physical Education instructional assistants will be responsible for providing support to students. They will primarily assist the teacher in the delivery of physical education and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance as needed in physical education.
• Supervise students during physical activity and act as lifeguard during swimming instruction.
• Perform all duties as indicated by the supervising teachers and the administration.
  
  

Qualifications

• A physical education license is preferred but not required.
• The preferred candidate must have or is willing to obtain their lifeguard certification.
• The preferred candidate will have experience working with high school students.
• The preferred candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
• The preferred candidate will have some background and knowledge of physical fitness, athletics, sports, and or coaching.
