Job Purpose

As a Physical Education Aide, you will assist in supervising and managing children, allowing teachers to focus on educational needs. Responsibilities include supporting classroom activities, supervising outdoor play, and assisting teachers as needed, in accordance with the school's educational philosophy.
How You Will Impact Education
Instruction/Education Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing daily programs under the teacher’s guidance.
- Help prepare the learning environment and materials.
- Work with students individually or in small groups to review instruction and support reading groups.
- Supervise outdoor playground activities.
- Perform general housekeeping and clerical tasks.
- Operate and care for instructional equipment.
- Attend staff meetings and training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Student Management
- Assist with supervision during field trips, play, lunch, and dismissal.
- Supervise the classroom when the teacher is absent.
School/Community Relations
- Maintain confidentiality about children, families, and staff.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Promote high academic achievement and positive relationships among schools, parents, and communities.
Required Qualifications And Skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Student Information Systems.
- Attention to quality, accuracy, and character education.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Successful background check.
- Experience working with children, preferably with disabilities.
- In the process of becoming qualified to supervise children.
- Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by CSUSA.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Usual school conditions, may be noisy. Light physical activity, including travel. The job is non-exempt under FLSA.
