Job Purpose: To join a team dedicated to student success and greatness. As a Physical Education Aide, you will assist in supervising and managing students, allowing teachers to focus on instructional needs. You will support the school's educational philosophy and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in implementing daily programs under teacher guidance.
2. Help plan and prepare the learning environment, interest centers, and materials.
3. Work with students individually or in small groups to review instruction and support reading groups.
4. Supervise outdoor playground activities.
5. Perform general housekeeping and clerical tasks.
6. Treat all children with dignity and respect.
7. Attend staff meetings, training, and conferences.
8. Operate and care for instructional equipment.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Student Management:

1. Supervise students during outside activities, field trips, lunch, and dismissal.
2. Supervise the classroom when the teacher is absent.

School/Community Relations:

1. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
2. Collaborate professionally with staff, promote high achievement, and foster community links.

Qualifications and Skills:

Requirements:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Successful background check.
• Experience with children, preferably with disabilities.
• Willingness to become professionally prepared to supervise children.
• Other qualifications as deemed appropriate.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Typical school conditions, possibly noisy. Light physical effort; some travel may be required. Job is non-exempt under FLSA.
