Job summary

Chamberlain Advisors is seeking a Chief Financial Officer in Kansas City to lead the finance function in a private equity-backed transportation services firm. This role requires over fifteen years of finance leadership experience, a CPA or equivalent, and a hands-on approach to finance and accounting.

The CFO will own the financial close process, optimize workflows, and integrate acquired businesses while partnering with the CEO and senior leaders to drive strategic growth. Strong FP&A capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years of progressive finance and accounting leadership.
• A CPA and/or substantive controllership background is required.
• Experience leading the monthly close and compressing close cycle time.

Responsibilities

• Own the close: Establish a timely, accurate, and repeatable monthly close.
• Lead hands-on: Standardize accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Build the team: Assess and uplift the existing accounting staff.
