Job summary

Suburban Automotive Service in Warren, MI is seeking a PDI/LPO Technician to complete Pre-Delivery Inspections on new vehicles and install dealer-installed (LPO) parts as needed. You will check for damage, fill fluids, drive vehicles through the car wash, and assist with warranty campaigns.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be mechanically inclined and own tools and/or willing to purchase tools.
• Must have familiarity with re-flashing modules and calibrations.
• Must have exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
• Must be a reliable team player.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a PDI/LPO Technician, you will be responsible for completing Pre-Delivery Inspections on new, incoming vehicles and installing dealer-installed (LPO) parts when needed.

PDI/LPO Technician Responsibilities Include

• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections following the PDI checklist.
• Install dealer-installed (LPO) parts following the instructions provided.
• Check the vehicle for damage, missing parts, etc.

PDI/LPO Technician Working Conditions And Physical Demands Include

• Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and automotive fluids.
• This position is performed both inside a garage and outside so weather conditions may include extreme heat and cold.
• This position is continually active and requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.
• Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 100 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
