Job summary

Sanco Equipment in Mason City, IA is seeking a dependable PDI & Equipment Setup Technician to join our service team. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience, tuition reimbursement opportunities, and a clear path toward a full Equipment Technician position.

You’ll prepare equipment for delivery, install attachments, perform light maintenance, and support used equipment readiness with a team of experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• You don’t need to be a master technician. We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing things right.
• Experience or education in the listed areas is a plus but not required: diesel/heavy equipment tech, automotive/truck repair, construction or ag equipment, powersports, small engines, equipment maintenance, welding/fabrication, mechanical/technical programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment for delivery by performing pre-delivery inspections and checking fluid levels, safety systems, and overall condition.
• Set up equipment and attachments, install options, and configure for customer applications.
• Perform light mechanical work including oil changes, basic maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Assist with trade-in inspections and identify maintenance needs on used equipment.
