Job summary

Truck Centers, Inc. seeks a PDI Detail Technician to prepare new and used trucks for delivery, delivering a pristine customer-ready appearance. You will work with the Sales team to stage inventory and inspect new arrivals for quality, function, and readiness.

You will perform thorough interior and exterior detailing, complete required checklists, and ensure OEM-compliant fluids and safety standards are met, while maintaining a safe, organized workspace and participating in regular team meetings.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with ability to meet insurance requirements.
• Class B or Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is highly preferred.
• 1+ years of trade education or work experience as a PDI tech is highly preferred.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and dexterity with tools and shop equipment.
• Strong personal conviction for producing quality work and safety within a fast-paced environment.
• Verbal and written communication skills; proficiency using tablets and associated apps.
• Organized work habits and a keen eye for detail to thrive independently.
• Must participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new and used vehicles for delivery, ensuring a showroom-ready appearance.
• Partner with Sales to arrange inventory on the lot.
• Inspect arrivals for accuracy, quality, and proper functionality.
• Perform high-quality interior and exterior detailing that meets standards.
• Complete inspection checklists and required documentation.
• Top off fluids and verify levels to OEM specs.
• Use shop tools, steam cleaners, buffers, and cleaning products safely.
• Apply touch-up paint or dyes as needed to restore appearance.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace aligned with company standards.
• Attend team meetings and report issues as needed.
