Job Overview:

Obtain standard carotid, venous and arterial vascular studies. Must be familiar with renal doppler and venous reflux studies. Communicates with patients, visitors and co-workers, respecting confidentiality. Maintains all equipment. Observes practices consistent with infection control policies. Responsible for record keeping and entering appropriate billing information. Ensures continual quality improvement of patient services. Demonstrates ideals of quality customer service. Participates in continuing education programs. Supports policies ad procedures of the department and hospital. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provides age specific treatment and care.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or a relevant health sciences field

Preferred:

  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited ultrasonography training program.
  • Two (2) years of vascular imaging experience
  • Registered in vascular and echocardiography ultrasound (RVT or RVS and RCS or RDCS)

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Registered in vascular ultrasound (RVT or RVS)
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Certification
