Job summary

stvincentsjobs is seeking a Per Diem Mental Health Aide in Staten Island to provide direct therapeutic services to residents under supervision, including crisis intervention, medication management, and training in activities of daily living.

This role requires experience in mental health or residential settings, a high school diploma (associates or bachelor’s preferred), and a valid driver’s license; proficiency with Microsoft Office and database navigation is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapeutic services to residents, including crisis intervention, medication management, and training in activities of daily living.
• Maintain the physical environment of the residence in accordance with hospital and residential policy and procedures.

Job description

Per Diem Mental Health Aide

Under the supervision of the management staff and responsible for providing direct therapeutic services to residents of the program. These services include but are not limited to: crisis intervention, medication management, training in activities of daily living. Responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the residence. All responsibilities under hospital and residential policy and procedures.

Additional Requirements

Experience in mental health, substance abuse and/or residential setting.

Physical Requirements:

• Walking up and down stairs while carrying items;
• snow removal;
• restocking supplies;
• sweeping and mopping;
• cooking and cleaning duties.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma; Associates or Bachelor preferred

Valid driver's license in good standing

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, Excel, PowerPoint) and database navigation required.
