Job Overview:

Clinical laboratory personnel, as members of the healthcare delivery team, are responsible for assuring reliable and accurate laboratory test results, which contribute to the diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of physiological and pathological conditions in humans. Quality clinical laboratory testing is evidenced by performing the correct test, on the right person, at the right time, producing accurate test results, with the best outcome, in the most cost-effective manner.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS Degree in Medical Technology and/or related science
  • 2 to 3 years clinical laboratory experience

Preferred:

  • National Certification
Scheduling Requirements:
  • Shift working, 3-11pm
  • Per Diem (PD)
Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical workflow processes in Blood Bank, Chemistry, UA, and Hematology Departments.
  • Performs daily QC, troubleshooting, and communicates with caregivers for critical results.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures and performs other duties under the supervision of the departmental supervisor.
