Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Telemetry RN per diem nurses in Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a with the freedom to select the schedule that fits your life. Per diem pay is competitive, with daily and weekly pay options and easy mobile scheduling.

Requirements include an active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience in the last 4 years, and current BLS/ACLS. Vaccination or approved exemption is required, with additional credentials possible by facility.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
