Indiana University Health is opening a NEW PCU opening at IU Health Saxony in Fishers. We seek an experienced RN to join our Progressive Care/Step-Down Unit, delivering patient-centered care to adults with intermediate-acuity needs. The role emphasizes monitoring, quick response to changes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of acute-care nursing, an active Indiana RN license with BLS and ACLS, and BSN preferred. ADN accepted with consideration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year PCU/Stepdown RN experience required.
• Two years of recent acute-care nursing experience required.
• Current Indiana RN license; BLS and ACLS required.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with exceptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adults with intermediate-acuity needs on a Step-Down unit.
• Monitor vitals, labs, telemetry, and respond to changes.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and discharge plans.
• Document accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate care.
• Maintain patient safety and uphold service excellence.
