First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Choose shifts that fit your life, with 7a-7p and 7p-7a options and the freedom to work when it suits you.

You will provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer treatments, and collaborate with care teams. Per diem pay, daily/weekly options, and a locally supported scheduling team are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• 2+ years PCU nursing experience in past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administer meds, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
