First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments in the Hampton Roads area. You will pick up shifts as you wish, working in leading acute care hospital settings. Per diem flexibility lets you design a schedule that fits your life while earning competitive pay.

Choose day or night shifts and enjoy convenient weekly or daily payment options. Ideal candidates hold Virginia RN license, BLS, ACLS, and recent PCU experience; vaccinations

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other specialized equipment required for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
