Job summary

Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care on the PCU. Working with medical providers, you will handle pre-operative and post-operative nursing during the patient’s stay.

You will assess changes in status, perform orders, document care, administer meds, and stay current on cardiac and medical-surgical procedures to support a safe, compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure required.
• Associate Degree required.
• No travel required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, noting changes.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document care in the patient record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac/medical-surgical care.
