Job summary

Texas Health Huguley in Burleson, TX is seeking an experienced RN to join the PCU on a Day shift (PRN). You will demonstrate critical thinking, collect patient data, and develop evidence-based plans of care for optimal outcomes, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, RN license, and at least 2 years of PCU experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient outcomes.
Basic computer skills – navigate Windows-based programs.
Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills).

Responsibilities

Demonstrates patient care with critical thinking appropriate to level of care.
Collects and documents health data timely and systematically.
Performs assessments, analyzes data, and develops evidence-based care plans.
Implements plan of care safely and documents actions.
Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and staff to promote a positive environment.
Educates patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Participates in quality, safety and initiative activities related to nursing practice.
Performs other duties as assigned.
