Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, FL is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse (PCU RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with providers, coordinate pre- and post-operative nursing care, and advocate for patients to enhance their experience.

You will assess patients on admission and each shift, document care, administer medications, and maintain safety with cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensure and an Associate Degree in Nursing are required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care in the medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Must have 1 year of acute care experience
